Every since I was a child, I have dreamed on becoming a professional actress and singer for Broadway, Film and Television. For as long as I can remember, I have always been the type of girl who wanted to perform. I started singing at the tender age of two years old when my grandmother taught me the Christian hymn 'Jesus Loves Me'. I've been singing as long as I can remember and I was always very into the arts by watching Shirley Temple, West Side Story, Annie, Mary Poppins and other Disney films. I had caught the acting bug when I was only eight years old after I had seen the production of The Nutcracker in Chicago at a Theater on a field trip. I was so fascinated by the dancers and the acting that I wanted to do the same thing those actors were also doing, and that was to perform. Every since that day when I finally had the chance to experience a real Theater production, all that I could ever think about was becoming a professional actress and singer in the entertainment industry. I was so starstruck by watching that production of The Nutcracker that I began to join the school plays at my elementary school in Illinois starting in the third grade and then when I was old enough in the fifth grade I began to join the school choir for two years singing as a soprano. As I got older I realized that my vocal range was actually a mezzo-soprano instead of a soprano I. When I finished the sixth grade and at the end of July 2006 I moved from Illinois to Arizona with my mother and siblings. My new school in Phoenix didn't have a theater or choir program so I wasn't able to join any performing arts activities until high school. In 2008, I transferred to Tolleson Union High School in Tolleson, AZ from Buckeye, AZ and started taking theater classes and joined the drama club. I wanted to develop more in my acting skills so I gave up on sports and began being more involved within the Theatre department during my entire high school career. During those four years of high school I was known as the "girl for doing Theater". By the time I had graduated from high school in 2012 I achieved to get five theater credits on my back before college. In August of 2012 I began college as a Theater major at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ so that I can learn more about the Theatre business. Becoming a Theatre major was the greatest experience I've ever gotten the chance to have. I learned about "real world experience" in the Theatre world and I was excited about what life would be like for me after college and by having a career within the Theatre world and entertainment industry. In April of 2016, I graduated from GCU with my B.A. in Theatre and a month later I got cast in my first Independent film. Getting to have the experience to work on a movie set was something I've been wanting to experience since I was a child. Now, I'm going to continue building up my theater and film credits, meet new people by making connections within the industry and by working with people within the entertainment industry so that when I'm finally ready, I will be able to find an agent and find paid acting jobs to get my acting career on the right track to where I'm supposed to be heading. This is just the beginning for my career within the entertainment industry. To experience who I am in this tricky business field, to fail and to get right back up. I'm very excited to experience where my career is going to take me next. By experiencing big adventures that I have never taken before, meeting exciting people within this career field and what life is going to make of me in the future. <3
